The school day runs from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday - Friday, with after-school and Saturday enrichment opportunities also
available. COURSES OFFERED AT TALCOTT MOUNTAIN ACADEMY In addition to these courses, the Academy also invites students to study further into their chosen subject matter. This enrichment program offers the chance to explore specialized subjects like creative writing, publishing, web design, yearbook editing, star gazing, radio broadcasting, dramatic arts, computer programming, math theory, and orchestra, among others. LANGUAGE ARTS literature, composition, and grammar. SOCIAL STUDIES American History, world history, world cultures, and living history. MATHEMATICS levels of study range from elementary math to calculus. SCIENCE areas of study include Astronomy, Biology, Chronobiology, Ecology, Geology, Meteorology, Chemistry, and more. STUDIO ARTS includes art theory and art history, drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic and 3D design. FOREIGN LANGUAGES + SPANISH in addition to Spanish, languages offered include Latin, German, and French. COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY operating systems, applications, publishing, web design, communications, programming, and simulations. MUSIC composition, performance, and theory. |
